Helen qualified as a Medical Herbalist in 2002 having completed a 4 year BSC degree course in herbal medicine and is a member of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP). She also has a diploma in Nutritional Therapy and is a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT). In addition to her qualifications in herbal medicine and nutritional therapy, Helen has a BSc (Hons) degree in Neuroscience and a background in biological sciences from the University of Edinburgh. Approach to Treatment Helen works with clients to help them find ways to improve their physical, mental, and emotional health based on an individual treatment plan combining herbs and diet. In consultations she tries to understand the underlying basis of the current health condition, and how lifestyle, diet, medications, emotional state, or past health may affect the current state of health. She helps people with many different types of health conditions, but has a particular interest in treating women's health problems including PMS, Menopause, Fibroids, PCOS and other hormonal imbalances, and runs the Women's Health & Menopause Clinic at Napiers Hamilton Place branch. She is also involved in the Edinburgh Fertility Clinic at Hamilton Place, working alongside other practitioners to offer the best natural fertility treatments to individuals and couples.
