Approach to Treatment

Erika's philosophy as a Medical Herbalist is formed on the belief that a balanced diet and lifestyle feeds and maintains the body's health, and the herbs are used to promote the effects of these. She believes it is the combination of these factors, alongside the patient-practitioner relationship, which fosters the patient's own empowerment to move forward with their health. Having a background in cultural anthropology, Erika also has a deep interest in the effects of society and culture on the health of the human body. With this she pays particular attention to the role emotional well-being as an integrated aspect of physical health. Erika also has a specific interest in treating children and assisting parents in acquiring the appropriate strategies to nourish their children's health to the best of their abilities.

Erika operates her regular clinic from Napiers the Herbalists, 13 Bothwell Street, Glasgow City Centre. She also hold a reduced fee clinic for students and people on state benefits or pensions at both Bothwell Street, as well as at our clinic at Cresswell Street in the West End of Glasgow.
